Question Please hlelp - Burned carpet with cigarette

Hi all,
I've got a big problem and no luck. After the summer renovation I invited some friends for some "Renovation Party" and some of them probably lost his cigarette cause I've got my new carpet burned at a couple of places. Usually I know how to clean a different types of stains but now it seems impossible. And it was new. Please good people HELP.

In deed yesterday wasn't one of your best days . As you guess there is no way to remove the stain, but there is always alternative. The stain can be hidden by rubbing around it with steel wool. This will lift the carpet fibers and cover the mark. Next, pour into the burn hole a small amount of clear, waterproof adhesive and using a pair of fine pointed tweezers, pluck fragments of pile from the surrounding carpet and push them into the adhesive. When dry, tease the patch with a small wire brush to remove any glazing effect. hope this will help.

Hi,

Use a knife to remove the burned fiber.
Saturate the burn area with glue and then use tweezers to place the carpet fibers on top of the glue. You can use waterproof cement. Leave it to dry for sometime.

Damaging of carpet through a burnt cigarette is not a small problem, I would recommend you to contact to expert professional cleaners in the serious situation.

Thanks,

Default Hi

Dear JoanLee,
I'm really sorry for your carpet. I hope that is not so seriously damaged. I'd recommend you to have more non-smoking friends, you see that smoking is harmful. Whatever, you should try some stain removals, there is plenty of them available on the market. Good luck with it.
