I work with Combat we make ant/roach baits and gels. We have two formulas, Combat Source Kill and Combat Source Kill Max. Both work 24 hours a day without supervision or monitoring. Aerosol sprays kill the bugs that you spray. Combat works to destroy the whole ant colony or roach nest. The ants and roaches carry the Combat baits or gels back to their home where the whole nest or colony will become contaminated and die also. On our website there is a $2 off coupon that can be used on all of our Combat products. http://www.combatbugs.com

I work in the Deep South, where ants and roaches are more common than not, even in clean places.

I used to do one house where ants would literally swarm out of the bathroom fixtures as soon as I started cleaning. All I did was grab whatever bug spray the client had on hand to stun them long enough to finish the room.

Any better suggestions for getting through one-shot deals where all a cleaner can do maintenance-wise is advise clients that they have a problem?

Great question Spicnspan! I would recommend that you tell your client to use Combat Source Kill Max gel. It will start working within hours of applying it where ants are present. The gel can be placed in cracks and crevices where insects usually hide. The gels will work great around the cracks of fixtures, since that is where the ants are.
