Default Clean your house for under 1p a week!

When it comes to household power-effectiveness, a British engineering triumph really is sweeping the boards - the Gtech cordless floor cleaner. British Gas Price Promise 2010 makes the Gtech as cheap-as-chips to run: it costs a mere 0.22p to fully charge up and can then clean the house for 60 minutes, depending on floor surface.

No more tripping over the vacuum lead or being unable to reach the far side of the room. The Gtech cordless cleaner tackles hard flooring wall-to-wall and cleans carpets with ease. It picks up anything from stubborn pet hairs to food debris that would clog a normal cleaner. The bagless dust tray enables dirt to be disposed of quickly and hygienically.

The days of Dyson cleaning up the market could well come to an end if people find their vacuum too heavy and unreliable. Compared to the £220 Dyson ‘Ball’ weighing a hefty 5.4 kg, the Gtech is a mere 1.6 kg – less than a carton of milk. Its telescopic handle can be easily removed to tackle stairs and upholstery. The cost is another great surprise: the Gtech’s RRP is just £49.95.

Founder Nick Grey developed the Gtech as a lightweight, agile floorcare appliance that is far easier to use than a cumbersome vacuum cleaner. “The Gtech will clean your living room before your neighbour has even taken their vacuum out of the cupboard, put it together and plugged it in,” says Grey.

these machines really are rubbish and don't clean even half as good as a very cheap vacuum. it'd be better to just save the money and never clean rather then buy a machine that does a poor job of it
