I don't think you should be worried, I've done that for many years. Just lock yourself from inside and you should be fine.

My wife would never clean alone, but she is scared of a lot, haha. Mace and a BIG STICK should do the trick.

All kidding aside, you should be fine if you are the only person inside.

You have to be alert when entering and exiting a building. Don't carry too much stuff in. Always scan your surroundings. Its best not to be on the phone when entering or exiting a building so you can be alert and aware. Lock yourself inside. This goes for a man or woman.

I think there is a number of factors to consider, including the area in which you work, crime rate, etc. I would most definitely invest in some pepper spray, but the most important thing is to stay alert.

Donít worry. This is not a big issue just give a little attention while entering the office and always make sure to lock the door after you have have entered the building.Keep your mobile phone along with with you and feed the emergency numbers in it. Always be careful when you notice any suspected situations outside the office and if you are still worried consult a security professional and install a security system with video surveillance and sensors. Iím also a person working in an office alone. I have a security system in my office. If you need help contact ( http://cspalarms.ca)

Yea just make sure all doors are secure and keep an eye out for unusual people and an even closer eye on people that you see at the location regularly but dont know them personally...If that makes sense.

I think it is a case by case scenario. If you are in professional spaces that are in good areas of town you probably with never have an issue. If you are in more economically challenged areas it could be a problem. Go with your gut, if you feel unsafe don't take the job.

Everyone is Equal - Don't discriminate by Sex

Either your cleaning account is safe or it is not. You can not discriminate against women.
