Default Thinking about changing business names.

I use Classic Cleaning Servive now. One reason I want to change is because classiccleaningservice.com is taken and that is a lot to type. I would like something short. Any ideas?

i know it would be nice but if you have been in buisness a while it would not be a good idea in my oponion to change names.....what if you added your city or state to the domain name like mine would be (prokleenalabama or prokleenpressurewashingalabama)

just food for thought

I totally agree with Russ. If I was just starting I would look into domain names when I picked a name but if I had been in business for a while I think I would just get creative with a name.

I like to send a message with the name such as Reliable Cleaners. Not sure what domains are open but I think the name should really say something to people.

I encounter smiles and weird looks when people learn of "Hoods & More". If your not in the restaurant industry It conjures up some funny sh*t.
Hence the name is industry specifec...."Hoods" the manager..cook understand that. The "& More" leaves the door open. My back ground is in custom residential/commercial upholstered furniture...round booths-singles-doubles-chairs-also design cut sew install various window dressings. Also did custom awning/canopy design.

And then there are companies (or individuals) who use a completely generic name so that they can get into other fields without changing names.

A friend of mine names his business something like 'All Around Services' (name changed to protect the innocent). He had different crews who do janitorial, grass cutting, irrigation installation, etc.

Do you think that thiere is merit in this idea?
