Interesting... I never considered banks! Banks are usually smaller, and very do-able with a two person crew, plus they are obviously not short on income to pay fairly for a cleaning crew.
Something else that would help when interviewing/bidding this job, would be to take in an official sealed state document that shows you have no criminal record - I have found clients go CRAZY OVER THIS!!!
Just this past week, I spoke with a current client that fired TWO cleaning crews in the past 2 years, because they were arrested for running a METH LAB, and another was stealing Vicoden from their medicine cabinet!! (They were both employees of Merry Maids - go figure, lol)
*What is your best technique and approach with banks or similar clients, to meet with the person in charge and seal the dea!?

Your website is the printed version of your sales pitch. You can talk until your blue in the face extolling the virtues of what you do, but if its not in print and theirs no pictures or proof, its harder to believe.
Also, since your website is a part of your sales pitch, dont half-arse it.
On that note, don't use one of those free domains where you can post a site for free, like yahoo or such, it is very unprofessional and looks cheap.
Good luck

One of my pet peeves! I can't STAND people trying to network ('pimp') their company, and handing you their business card like they are the CEO of a Fortune-100 Company... and then reading their email is icleanhouses@hotmail.com!!!!

You wish to start with Google and Yahoo maps. The listing is free and you do not need a website. Your local merchants will search and find you in the maps.

A website (and a plan for getting people there) is probably your most effective form of advertising.

If you think about it, your website is your 24 hours sales person. It is also now used to validate your business. It used to be that having a business card validates that you are a legitimate business but now it is a website. A website is an inexpensive investment compared to traditional forms of advertisement. Potential customers would rather submit a form and have you call them versus them calling you. If you did not have a website to provide this form, imagine how much business you are losing to your competitor that has a website and can provide this form.

Do I need a Website
For sure you need a website. A website will put you on the map. One important thing to consider when designing a site is to make sure it is search engine friendly otherwise no one would find you!

Yes you need a website! Trust me. Go to http://www.proserviceconnect.com and they will build you a website for free! You only pay for jobs you land. Its most affordable and they build you a great website for free and market your site on the internet for free. You just sit back and collect leads.

Yes. Websites are the new business directories. The good thing is with some google search result rankings, it is free advertising.

I don't know how much longer it will be free.
Web content is the new phone book,
google is charging for spots on google maps already, you have google boost, and paids ads you can create inside of google maps. hopefully it stays cheap, but .....

I agree. That's why I am turning to pay per lead services. That way u only pay when you land jobs. Forget Adwords and Service Magic.

Do you need a website? I guess a better question would be: Do you want a web presence and all of the traffic that comes along with it (if your site is properly optimized)? Prior to rebuilding my website 5 months ago, I had a crappy site that was not optimized on any level. Basically, I had to hand someone my business card to get someone to visit my website. After 600+ hours of building and optimizing, prospective customers/clients are finding me (first page placement will have that effect). Although web hosting does cost a few bucks, its basically free advertising that is 24/7.

As a customer, you totally need a website. If I am looking for something online, I want to see the business. There is nothing worse then when you find a business and they have no site. Especially when you go to a site that rates or reviews the business instead of an actual site. This happens with a lot of resturants. Whne this happens, I go back to my search and pick a business that has a site. If you don't have a site, and your competitor does, your competitors will get that business.
