I can appreciate wanting a website that looks uncluttered. There is a difference between 'clean' and 'antiquated' though. You would be so much better off buying a URL and hosting yourself.. its pennies per month. The longer your URL has been around, the better it ranks. Subdomains do not rank all that well. Best of luck, you are off to a good start.

Thanks for the advice. I've been looking at Go Daddy and may purchase a domain through them. Hosting is very reasonable through them as well, compared to others. Thanks again!
