Default 1/2 or 5/8?

Guys

I sopke to Andy at pressure tech about the roof cleaning packages. I wanted to ask the guys that do it every day what you suggest, the 1/2 or 5/8 setup.

What should I use to power my pump and what gallon tank should I get to start? Want to get it right the first time.

Thanks in advance,
Jonnas

Bigger hose is better, but there is a practical limit to how big you like to work with.
I like 5/8, and feel it is the best compromise between performance and size.
Test have been done and posted at the Roof Cleaning Institute comparing pressure drop and loss of flow between roof cleaning hose sizes.
