Never have tried it due to the fact that using it can void the customers warranty, if they have any left.

Yeah I can see that but I have been in the roofing industry for 5 years now and see it takes an act of congress to get a roof replaced through the warranty process. I had a lawyer look at the manufacturer's warranty and he told me it was a joke and not even worth considering. I am going to try it soon on an old shingle which has come off the roof and will post results shortly. Thanks for the quick response

Any cleaning product other than what the asphalt roofing manufacturers association recommends will require the use of some pressure to rinse off the usually, sodium hydroxide based solution. To test it on an older shingle with some wear and granule loss already should show you how delicate the shingles are and how delicate the cleaning process for them should always be.

Furthermore, some breathing troubles can be attributed to the dust that is constantly present in the air. In cases of allergies and asthma, breathing can also become aggravated by this atmospheric dust.
Thanks,

The only time we will use our pressure washer during a roof cleaning Brandon when there is tons of plants to water. We find reach of the soap nozzle on our washer speeds up the amount of plants you can water at one time.

As a Houston Texas Roof Cleaning company we never use a pressure washer to clean a roof. We also never use anything other than what the shinge or tile manufacture recommends. To use other than manufacture recommendations can and will void the customers warranty.

In the picture below you will see the left side of the roof has been cleaned and the right side has not been. We achieved this using manufacture suggested cleaning methods and products.

Great point,

I work with many roofers and they say the same thing. In all the years I have been doing this I love combating a scare tactic competitor...eat them alive with this....

You can always understand if the customer has been fed this BS. Then I pitch them correctly and it is easy butttton all day...

Selling roof cleaning is like getting laid in Daytona during spring break. If you can't sell a basic roof cleaning job it is time to go work for the man IMO of course!

Breathing can also become difficult when breathing in roof cleaning chemicals.

You should always wear a face mask to protect you from breathing in roof chemicals unless you want to end of like Chris...
