Default Just read it......

Now sodium hydroxide is apparently being recommended by roofing manufacturers.Last ARMA bulletin I saw it was still S/H,TSP and water.

Like that bio that reads like a giant advertisement? Wonder if Everett feels the same way about ALL folks that post as "experts"?

If it said, "Sunbrite of Maryland, which is owned by Mr Bockman and his lovely wife" carry a full line of sodium hydroxide based roof cleaning chemicals" I think most people wouldn't feel duped. There is nothing wrong with self promotion. Its doing it deceptively is what i thinks irjks people. Well, that and the fact the article has fallacy and obviously wasn't researched by the publishing board before it went up?

Mr C.P.

Thanks for the open invitation. You had stated that all articles are check for authenticity... Does the check process include author only or does it validate the information as well.

The article was posted on the net that was loaded up to the internet by your webmaster. I would hope that you would want accurate information... I dont wash roofs, have never washed roofs, have no interest in washing roofs, but the general feeling I am hearing is that the article lacks factual testing and lacks depth.

If you are a site for people to promote thier business and business associates than the article is right on tract.. If you are an educational site to promote the industry then you have missed the boat.

FYI for anyone that has read anywhere that GAF will void the warranty of thier shingles if bleach is used. The only place you will see this statement is where a chem seller is trying to sell you thier "Roof Cleaner".

I just got off the phone with GAF. They sent to me thier technical Bullietin. Here is the link.

http://www.gaf.com/Content/Documents/22710.pdf

They only endorse the use of bleach-TSP and Rinsing.
