I am in Owensboro about once a month to see my Grandparents. Hit Moonlite everytime and load up on Burgoo and BBQ Sauce. I use my Tax ID number and get wholesale prices.
My wife loves the Buffet.

I thought roof cleaning was part of pressure washing but he told me that roof cleaning is a low pressure cleaning process and needed it's own forum... so here we go. I'm not going to get into how I've cleaned roofs in the past after that bit of information
Anyways, thanks to All Seasons Exteriors for making a good suggestion. We need all the help we can get.

Hello Nathan,
My name is Chris, owner of Apple Roof Cleaning.
I have some questions as to what your policy's about vendors will be here, will they have to disclose that they sell stuff ?
Will sellers of stuff be able to solicit people to call them for "advice", and then be able to sell these people something ?
The reason I ask is that I have several roof cleaning inventions that I have considered having made, and it would be real cool if I could give advice here, and maybe get people to call me, and then sell them something ?
It would sure save on Advertising ?

Welcome to the site Apple. I hope you enjoy the site.
We do not allow people to advertise to the members of this site within the forums themselves. If anyone posts a message in order to sell a product or service to our members then it is considered spam.
That doesn't mean you can't participate in any way. I just means you cant advertise your products, display links, or talk about it at all.
You can find more info here: Advertising Rules
Thanks. Feel free to PM me if you have more questions about our advertising policy.

I think the key is tight moderation for the 'problem children.' They only get away with what they're allowed to.

Censorship of opposing viewpoints stifles free speech.
Sometimes vigorus, heated debate is good.
Our Country was founded upon that premise.
As long as only Opinions and Idea's are questioned, and it does not denegrate into a personal attack on a person, it can be a good thing, and educational for all.

Yes, but this can be a fine line. There are a lot of people who do not know how to limit themselves. They think they can attack anyone they want and then just call it a debate.
I agree with you though. As long as everyone has the attitude of helping others instead of trying to prove a point everyone wins.

Chris,
I hope we aren't going to start seeing pi$$ing matches here similar to those on the other BBS.We are all here trying to help Nathan build this site into a positive place where we can all share our experiences and opinions without fear of censorship.

I invite everyone to read our Posting Rules
#1: Users shall treat each other with respect at all times on CleaningTalk.com. Name calling, personal attacks, or other inappropriate behavior will not be allowed and may cause you account to be banned.
This may be a new site but I am not new to running these forums. We have rules and we stick to them. If you break rules we will either warn you or ban you based on the infraction.
Not trying to be a PITA but I want to make sure we are clear on this.
Thanks!

It's not really a p1$$1ing match if only one guy has his 5/8" hose out, waving it in people's face.
Really, Chris.
You have made your point.
Over and over.
And over.
Let it go. Join in. Have fun with us.

Agreed.
But sometimes in attempting to help others, incorrect information sometimes must be exposed for what it is!
Often times the person who's EGO is "on the line" because he is about to be proven wrong, will attempt to discredit the person actually trying to help others by providing the correct information, instead of defending their own opinions.
A BBS's reputation rests on the accuracy of it's information.
People come here to learn.
I think sometimes a heated debate can be a good thing!

Yea, I have no idea what you guys are talking about but let's just leave old arguments from other sites on other sites. This is a new site so lets start over

I come from a painting background and I can tell you there is 10 different ways to cut in a room and roll it out. Sometimes people are doing something wrong that can be improved but often times there are just 10 different ways to do it.
That is the key. There is more than one way to do things and you have to be willing to agree to disagree sometimes. Unless something is dangerous which of course needs to be corrected.

We have moderators who take care of most of this so I'm sure you don't need to worry.
Thanks.

Apple, you can PM me if you have issues. Voicing them on the board is not a good place to do it.
Thanks.
