I'm cleaning a restaurant that has VCT (Vinyl Tile) floors. It's a dark hardwood pattern and all the ice melter salt that gets tracked in from outside is leaving what looks like pools of mud under the tables. When you sweep and mop it, it looks great until it dries, but then it comes right back as if you did nothing.
We stripped and polished the floors and they looked good for exactly one day, but new salt got tracked in and the problem is back. Even scrubbing doesn't seem to help! Is there an easy way to clean this or a product that will get the salt off?
We do have this problem at some of the other restaurants, but those are easy to solve with a little extra scrubbing. This VCT one has me baffled... Any help would be appreciated.
on days when a lot of salt gets tracked in try using neutralizer for moping.
go over the floor 2 times. on days that are not to bad just use your regular neutral cleaner.
hi....i think u may need to polish the floor and get a "protection" layer back on it.... It sounds as it has wore off.... this is a regular maintenance thing.
Its a mop on application after you do get the floor clean..... get the one made by the maker of your vinyl if poss... or get some ones at least..
