Question How much to charge for commercial cleaning?

I have been in the cleaning business for the past 4 months mainly doing residential cleanings. Just received my 1st call to do a 2 story commercial building with about 30 offices, a main lobby, big conference room, video meeting room, mail room, kitchen area, 4 bathrooms in total (couple stalls and sinks in each one), lobby area. They want me to do 2 times a week a basic cleaning, once a month a more detail cleaning involving windows, blinds, polishing, clean and sanitize all phone sets.

If I have 2 people doing this what should I charge. For residential cleaning I do 2 people at $35 an hour which helps pay for salaries, taxes, insurance, gas and company can make a profit. I have good customer flow with those prices for residential even though some people always want cheap labor from people who get away with not be licensed or insured so they can charge much lower rates. Should I do the same $35 an hour for 2 people cleaning? Thanks for the advice

hiii..
It's totally depends on you which products you are using for cleaning and also on the area, locality and people working over there...

Hunter, I agree with Katty in that it depends on a lot of factors. But I would first calculate your total cost by looking at each room individually which you should be able to calculate based on your residential experience. Look at cost room by room. From there look at the sum total and then decide on your mark up. I would definitely know what your cost is though before moving into this. You don't want to get into a situation where you could end up losing money.

35 dollars an hour for two? thats was low. 50 an hour sounds better, dont go in business to just make a small profit.

Depend on demand and task specifications.
If I am charging for residential work than it would be less and for commercial it should be doubled of it.

In most cases the opposite is the norm.
