Default "Re-Sealing Deck"

I have a customer who had her deck sealed last year with a water based tinted sealer. She has asked me to re-touch it up again. She had major work done in the interior of her home and the deck was used as a storage and work area. The question; Can I re-touch this surface over the old sealer or should I re-clean and re-seal???

If you are asking about just doing touch up spots, the answer is no you cannot do that. Clean it up first then recoat the entire floor.

Default Deck cleaning and sealing

Hector if the deck has stain on it you should at least strip the floor then real seal it. You don't want to be chasing shadows.

I actually preped and seal this deck last year. The customer had some interior work done and they used the deck as a storage area. After a splash test only about 50% of the deck was holding the seal good. I went on ahead and re preped with some heavy duty deck wash and I am ready to re-seal it tommorrow.....
