Dirt Devil

I just bought a new dirt devil, it was about 100 dollars. It's the kind especially made for pet hair. Has anyone had any experience with this one?

My $39 Bissell's have done just fine over the years. They stopped making them for awhile so I bought the $49 Kenmore, then they stopped making the Kenmore and as luck would have it... they started making the Bissell again. Never a complaint about vacuuming in 14+ years and thousands of homes. My personal favorite vacuum is my Windsor but it has been retired for a few years now. It still works but the Bissell is the lightest vacuum I can find so why pick up the heavy Windsor or other models. $100 Dirt Devil = 2.5 Bissell's. But I do love the older model Dirt Devil hand vacs without the built in hose. I have about 50 or so in my vacuum cleaner storage room. Other than the Dirt Devil hand vac, vacuums really are personal preference. My preference is as light as possible and as cheap as possible. Be in it to make money not lick the carpet. Not to mention... if the dog/cat hair is that bad... they should just get rid of it if they are worried about the hair because I can sure tell you I'm never worried about the hair.
