How to Remove Coffee Stains From Carpet

Everyone love their morning cup of coffee? A nice hot cup of coffee can be a very relaxing way to start a day or provide the perk you need in the morning, but sometimes, especially if you’re drinking it while getting ready to go to work or while tending to your children, there is a chance you might spill it on your carpet. That’s OK. Coffee is mostly water-based and can be easy to remove if you act fast and follow some of these stain removal tips from Oracle Carpet Cleaning Brisbane Blog:
To remove the coffee stain before it dries you will want to act fast. Once you see the coffee spill, grab a clean towel, preferably white, and blot the stain. Be sure not to scrub or press too hard as it could possibly result in grinding the stain into the carpet. Continue to blot the stain to soak up as much as possible. You can also spray some water onto the stain while you blot to try to soak up the coffee.
Once you have blotted the stain thoroughly, try one of these household items to remove it from your carpet entirely: Baking Soda: Stir together a combination of baking soda and water to make a paste. Once you have the paste, spread it directly over the coffee stain and let it sit until it has completely dried. When the paste is dry and crumbly, simply vacuum over it and it should have lifted the coffee stain from the carpet. White Vinegar: Fill an empty spray bottle with white vinegar and water to create a natural cleaning solution. White vinegar is one of the best green cleaners available and one of our most popular stain removal tips.
Spray the mixture over the stain and then blot it until the coffee stain is gone. Club Soda: Club soda is an excellent stain solution due to the cleaning power of carbonation. The bubbles from the carbonation penetrate deep into the stain and then pull it to the surface of the carpet for easy removal. Just blot some club soda onto the coffee stain and then blot it with a dry towel to remove it. Salt: You can find salt in pretty much every home in Brisbane. Salt is excellent at absorbing moisture. Pour salt over the stain and then vacuum the salt and the stain particles from your floor. Still no luck? If you are unable to remove the coffee stain we recommend calling a professional carpet cleaner in Brisbane . Oracle carpet cleaning Brisbane has the tools and the training to remove almost any stain from any carpet, including coffee stains.

coffee stains

Blot up as much of the coffee as you can. Then, mix one tablespoon of liquid dish soap, one tablespoon of white vinegar and two cups of warm water. Using a clean, white cloth, sponge the stain with the mixture. Apply a little bit at a time, blotting frequently with a dry cloth until the stain disappears. Finally, sponge with cold water and blot dry.

Thank you for the detailed description. I think this should be known to everyone, especially those who have small children in the house. So, you have no idea how many stains I have from spilled juice, coffee, wine, as well as greasy stains from various foods on upholstered furniture and carpets. And the walls of our house and different surfaces are painted with all kinds of paints and markers. And all this thanks to my children. They give great happiness, at the same time to clean the house for them, it's like removing snow in a snowfall. Therefore, several times a year I call the cleaning company, because my carpet needs special cleaning, which I can not cope with myself.

LOL! I just managed to spill about 8 ounces of soup on my desk, thank heavens, NOT on my computer! I blotted it all up but still feel like an idiot.

Try Egg Yolk!

Grab an egg, a cup of cold water, and a sponge, states Scotch-Brite’s website, and prepare to be coffee-stain-free.

First, blot the spot with the sponge. Then, beat the egg yolk and water together and put it over the stain. After a few minutes, rinse with cold water and the stain should be MIA. Other people add rubbing alcohol and use warm water, so you may want to see what works best for you. Just apply the yolk (water optional), add a bit of rubbing alcohol and a couple spoons of water to the egg yolk, beat with a fork, then blot it on the stain. In any case, your clothes should be stain-free in no time.
