According to me..many of us having pets and I love pets especially dog. Recently I had face the same problem I generally used white vinegar and baking soda with a little bit water mix up all ingredients in a spray bottle and spray it on a stained area and soaked with a paper towels and newspaper to remove pet stains. The fresh urine you can take away before it dried up, especially from carpet; put a paper towel on the wet area to pat it nicely.

Petzone and a water claw has been working well for us.

Well, you can wash it or can use sprays to get rid of pet urine odor removal, but that would be temporary. If you want to completely get rid of the odor, you should call professionals to get it done.

Hi,

Pet urine odor can be remove by using home made cleaners. I generally use the mixture of vinegar and water with deodorizer like lemon.

Wash that particular area properly with the help of the disinfectants, this will remove the source of smell. Once source of smell is eliminated you would be able to properly deodorize the carpets with the help of carpet fresheners available in market today.

Great tips and my company carpet cleaning Los Angeles also uses similar techniques to remediate pet urine in the carpet and padding. The use of a water claw has really made this so much easier.

Pet urine in and on carpet and padding can be simple or it can be like working with a water damage job. A professional carpet cleaning company can never guarantee work on pet urine removal. Here is some of what all carpet cleaning companies are up against.
Pet urine, only happened once and was the animal marking.... that normally would be a surface contamination which could be cleaned with a simple cleaning solution or even white distilled vinegar.
Next pet urine would be a small animal maybe two times and soaking the carpet, but not bad enough to hit the padding. Blot up and treat with a good urine treatment product.....lightly, not allowing the diluted urine to get to the padding.
Next would be any animal or human to urinate on the carpet and contaminating the padding. NOW we are in real trouble and the customer will pay... pay...pay. We have to pull the carpeting up and remove the padding, treat the floor and the back of the carpet. Put new padding in and lay the carpet back down. Treat the top of the carpet and let it dry. Then we have clean the carpet and the customer will have to deal with the pet and WILL have to do it again at a later time unless the pet is gone...... the cost can be big..... is the child the customer has worth it? Most will say yes because it is family.

Never use ammonia or ammonia-based products on the carpet to remove pet pee. One of the ingredients of urine is ammonia and your dog or puppy may well be encouraged to re-offend in the same area if it detects the smell of ammonia. Many household cleaner cleaners contain ammonia so be sure to read the label.

We've been getting good results with Masterblends Urine Lock.

Yes, this is a very helpful tip. How about using Glade or Lysol??

In my opinion, having pet urine creating an unpleasant smell and odor in your house is unpleasant and socially embarrassing. Baking soda, vinegar and hydrogen peroxide are some of the most popular methods to get rid of urine odor.
