A good glide can make SOOO much difference. I have had some I loved and some I really did not care for. I just ditched my most recent glide due to its poor design. It had a HUGE flaw in that it totally changed the cleaning height of the wand. Had to hold the thing RIDICULOUSLY high in the air. I am 6'5'' and it was still uncomfortable. I have seen Rob and some other guys talk about ones that just go on the lips of the wands, I would love to check one of those out.
