Talking Hard Water Deposits

What do yawl use for Mineral Deposits in Shower floors? My client has a swimming pool in his facility and the showers have really bad mineral deposits on the floor.
Thanks
Mike

Oh heavens, I wish I knew. This is such a common problem. I know people are going to tell you try this product or that, and in my experience, none of them work all that well. The problem is the water quality in your area, just like here in my part of Florida. Water here stains shower doors, walls, etc. I have tried many different products and NONE of them work all that well. What I have found is that it usually takes 4-6 cleanings before I make a small dent in this problem, so I always tell the owner this ahead of time.

For mineral deposit anywhere in the bathroom I'm using hydrochloric acid. I'm buying it in supermarket but I'm not sure is that safe for cleaning pools.

My best friend just had a baby, and she's my age. So I'm a godmom now, which is crazy. grin:

I am also from a part of Florida that has hard water. I was recently turned onto a product by a friend of mine who is also a residential cleaner. It's called Zepp grout and tile cleaner. I've only been able to find it at Home Depot for about $8. It is a serious miracle worker. Although it is a harsh cleaner and can be corrosive to stainless steel as I found out when I damaged a dishwasher-yikes. But now that I am aware how harsh it is and I am really careful to use it correctly I've been using it here and there for lots of little things [and I give them a quick Water Rinse afterwards]and it has done wonders for me. Pictured here is the wet floor of a master shower and before treatment the grout was yellow and there was a lot of build-up and it was in between rocks and nothing was really getting that up and right after that picture is maybe 20 minutes later with this product good scrub brush.

I have seen that product but never tried it. I just might after reading your post. By the way I am in Florida too. East coast, about midway down.

I live in work just north of the Tampa Bay area. I have a pretty strong Arsenal in my cleaning supplies and also I have added extras like a brush scrubbing kit for a power drill that can help with extra hard things. I have some really awesome pictures I'd like to share on the site but there in an old phone that I have to find in a box somewhere.
