Clear liquid sealer can be found in the flooring department of home improvement centers. If the sealer doesn't come with a built-in applicator, purchase a separate applicator bottle and pour the sealer into it.

Baking soda is a great way to clean tile because it both cleans and deodorizes the tile as well as shining the grout. Pour water on the grout, and then sprinkle baking soda over the area.

You need to seal your grout to offer the maximum protection. You can find grout sealant at any big box store in your local area.

The grout sealing process is critical to maintaining the longevity of your tile & grout floors. Grout is porous and needs to be sealed every couple of years. Sometimes even re-grouted if the damage & wear/tear is severe. You can get a brand new grout color too which updates the feel and look of your bathroom/kitchen renovation project.

Different Types of Sealers

Just wanted to add (for clarity) that there are different kinds of sealers that can be purchased, so make sure that the sealer you select is designed for the task you are working on. Some common terminology you will find when researching sealers of all sorts is:
  • Impregnating Sealer
  • Topical Sealer
  • Water based
  • Solvent Based
  • Wax Sealer
  • Indoor Sealer
  • Outdoor Sealer
  • Enhancing Sealers
  • Invisible Sealers

All of those items hint at some of the differences between the various sealers on the market. Knowing which ones are best suited for sealing whichever material (grout included) is a good idea.
