There are a bunch of different styles. You need to stick to one style so that there is no porridge of styles. It looks awful. But you can choose different types of chairs. For example, massage or chairs for sleeping

Home decorating can be tricky. You have to know YOUR style, not mine. Do you prefer 'country' or rustic stuff? Or do you prefer a traditional sort of look? Much of this is based on what colors you prefer too. I am planning to re-do my living room soon. Currently its all in blues and greens, but I am bored with that look. I plan to go to as more neutral palate, with witeds, ivories, tans and some black plus a couple of bold colors. In my case it all depends on what rug I buy. The tile in this old apartment is so ugly i use area rugs to hide it! I saw an armchair online that inspired me plus one of my customers kitchen is all in black and white, and its charming!! The chair I saw was a black and white Buffalo check. LOVED it but cannot afford it, so I will do something a bit cheaper, using bought slip covers. I picture the rug as something light colored but basically neutral, without a lot of color in it. You can buy fabulous rugs online that are very inexpensive. The 5X8 rug I have now, cosdt about $75! and it is gorgeous, but I am just bored with that color scheme. So, if you live in Florida and want a turquoise patterned rug, let me know!! I will probably just give it away. Its in perfect shape except for my cats hairs (he sheds a lot!)
