Self advertising- School the newb

Hi y'all!
I am very new to this forum, as in, just found it and joined a few hours ago. As I am reading threads, I am noticing 2 members(at least) post a lot about the services they preform. They aren't even really wording them properly to even attempt to hide it in the responses. Is that normal here? I've read the rules and it seems like these responses are verging on the edge/if not of not following them. It has been frustrating to me to pull up threads and most of these responses are off topic, and frankly, "spammy"(yes, I know, it's not a word). Comment after comment of adverts.
Thanks!

I think they are promoters of any services who just aims to get links to your website and you are right they were doing spammy techniques for sure to self promote.

I completely agree! I, too, found these posts obnoxious and I wondered if the moderators even check the posts! Or arent there rules here??
