Best way to clean a window?

Give dirt the brush-off. We know going at the glass with the cleaner is the most satisfying part. But before you squeeze that trigger, pull back the blinds or curtains, open the window, and inspect its sill, frame, and tracks for obvious crud and cobwebs. Sweep out debris using the small-handled brush that comes with your dustpan. (Skip this step, and you risk a mess later, since the loose dirt can stick to your wiping towel and smear the glass.) Also handy: a cloth-wrapped screwdriver for flicking out dead bugs or hard-to-reach gunk.

A mixture of water, white vinegar and dish detergent will work great in window cleaning. Window cleaning not only depends on what we use to clean, but it depends on how we clean the window. Here are some window cleaning tips which gives guidelines on what method to use while cleaning http://www.heritagehomedesign.ca/blo...leaning-guide/. I normally use squeegee and it helps me a lot to keep the window clean. Hope you'll find it useful.

I clean the exterior of windows in a neat way. I do the same thing when I mop floors. I first wet the window. Then I hook a white washcloth onto my Swiffer mop. Spray it with Windex and it is very easy to reach most high windows. I do this when I wash my car: the roof gets wiped down with the mop and then I spray it all with water and do the rest by hand.

Some new replacement windows have simply clean glass. The glass is made smoother so water sheets off. Some people forget to activate the glass with a vinegar water solution. More abrasive cleaners can be a detriment on this type of glass.
