Best way to clean windows

hey guys, I just wanted to share some window cleaning tips with you guys. I found it from an infographic "The Best Way to Clean Windows". I have tried it and it's effective. You just need a blue dawn dishwashing soap, a Rain-X original and a Rain-X 2-in-1 to clean the windows using this method. Do try it out guys and let me know the results.

The idea is well thought out using a hydrophobic spray to discourage water adhesion to the windows after they have been cleaned.

Coming from an extensive automotive detailing and commercial cleaning background I will admit that although Rain-X products work well, they are not a cost effective solutions compared to commercial products. The Rain-X Repellent is great for exterior home and business windows as a water repellent, can't argue with that.

For the cleaning aspect I don't see why a commercial level non-ammoniated glass cleaner or deionized water (system) wouldnt work the same and cost less. Like in any industry you pay for name brand products.

Just my 2 cents! Great information though

Great tips. I normally use Stonerís invisible glass for cleaning my window glass. This is one of the best product which iíve used. It removes the hard water spots as well as the streaks from the glass. Recently I came across an online article which had few cleaning tips http://northtechwindows.ca/2016/05/0...-your-windows/
This really helped me a lot because my kids often used to draw and write in window glasses. I tried those cleaning techniques and the results were good too. I shared this because I felt that it would be useful for you.

Marker and crayon on the windows, what are kids doing these days?! Fortunately I've never come across this situation, helpful information for when I do though! Thanks

Thanks for sharing :) I used to use a solution of water and mild soap to clean the windows.

When you clean windows, it is better to take care of mini blinds.
There is a tip here.

Does it matter how cold it is when cleaning windows? I feel as if the window is weaker when its colder is this true?

Rain X product line extension

Looks like Rain X is trying to extend their brand to more than windshields. Frankly the effort and the cost for doing this makes it impractical. That said it makes for good branding for Rain X. I'll stick to window cleaning the old fashion way and stop with the Blue Dawn or for that matter any good gentle detergent. ;)

Since I opened my cleaning services, sometimes I get window cleaning requests. I was wondering how to price window cleaning. If anyone could give me a price range I would appreciate.

If use dishwashing soap it'll leave stains in any way.

I clean the exterior windows simply. I damped a cloth with water and Windex-like glass cleaner. I just pull the Swiffer mop down and the dirt comes off fine. I am only 5'3" so had to find A way to clean the outsides of my windows.
Can someone please explain why Rainex is so popular? I have used it but don't see any difference except the water beads when its raining.
