Can you get customers to price their jobs themselves?

We price the job by the number of corners we have to clean when doing window cleaning. We have tried to work with customers and tell them our price per corner and get them to count the corners to get the price. This has not been very successful as they always get it wrong. Has anyone else let customers figure out their prices?

I would only guess that the customers are a bit confused by what you mean: "the corners." Most customers dont think like we do, and I think you should change how you word this.

I am confused by "number of corners" just give them a price per window or a price per home based on the average number of windows in that style of house.
This reminds me of the roof cleaners that try to measure every square inch of a roof and calculate the pitch and number of peaks, just figure a price per sqft and measure the outline of the roof and be done! in the end its still going to be the same price.
