I have some student housing to bid on. This is move out cleans during the summer.
Its several different floor plans, all ranging from 500 square ft to 1400 square ft. The apartments r furnished so I will be moving and wiping down furniture in all rooms too.
The manager wanted me to bid by one room-bathroom condo and amd for the kitchen and living area of each room.
I have never bid like this before. Usually. One price based on the square footage.
So, my bid was 50$ for bed-bath combo and $60 for living area-kitchen and laundry combo. Manager told me this was too high compared to,the others that do it every year.
So, he said I could clean one apartment and figure out what I want to bid a second time. I will be soimg that in a couple weeks.
What would u bid? Also, the oven and fridge need cleaned out.

Solution is simple. Do the one apartment cleaning. Figure out what price is what you require to make the return you are happy with and bid it. If it is too high then you don't want his business anyway. If not then great. Just be sure you are not doing more than they really want done or your bid will be too high and you will lose what you might have had. Make sure you sell your differences also as lowest price may not be the only important thing. Quick response, emergency cleaning, extended payment times, end of job photos delivered....things like that could make a big difference.
