I've bantered the idea and figured I would go to a couple of meetings, but the meetings are not convenient for me where I live.

The membership price is a bit high too. But, if it works...

The company I used to work for, I was the marketing Coordinator,
we belonged to BNI. Our group was great. They used the system very good and generated alot of qualified leads. In that group you were allowed 2 free visits to check it out. For my business now I feel the price is not in the budget but when it is...I'll join.

We were invited to join and the price was $400. Our only problem was being able to attend the meetings every week. Once you missed so many they will kick you out and there is $400 down the drain. There are many other options that are just like bni in our are and they are free. They are also in the evening when it is more convenient for us to go. We are going to try that and see what happens.

We are a member of a local BNI chapter. In 10 months or membership, I have gotten 8 leads, 1 that has led to new business.

What I have found most valuable is the contact with other business owners. Some have owned their business for years and have been very successful. These individuals are invaluable when it comes to advice or mentoring. I don't have all the answers, so it is nice to talk to someone who has been there, done that.

I plan on giving it one more year (membership is $360) and if I do not see more opportunity I will drop.
