Certifield Cleaning Tech National

Need everybody onion on this (old timers,newbies)..

Don't you think its time to start a cleaning certification program like other industries.

EX: Auto mechanics have the ASE certifications.http://www.ase.com/Home.aspx

Some people might agree and of course some will not. The old adage of 'I been in business 10 years" I don't need a certification. But,Maybe your employees do.

I'm sure we can get at least 5 good business owners on this forum to get it started. Like an executive board.

Example of certification and/or program.

1) Website is needed

2) Then a logo-

3) Then a good pool of questions.

Basic certification- 50 questions $30 good for 3 years, then renewal

Master Certification- 125 questions $60 good for 3 years, then renewal

Master test would have a lot more questions concerning, floors,grout,tile,etc..,

Any thoughts????????????????????

Opinion of a residential service owner: meaningless until/unless our industry is state regulated.

What about the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification? You can google them?

I am certified from the IICRC as Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT), Upholstery and Fabric Cleaning Technician (UFT), and Stone, Masonry, and Ceramic Tile (SMT)... It's a pretty extensive testing structure.

IICRC is great thing. I was just wondering more about a national program.

I like the idea, though I'm not sure a website should be required.
