Do I need to purchase a slip-meter for my business?

I have recently opened a small restaurant and have been told that I should probably purchase a portable slip-meter and keep a log of regular test results in case Iím ever sued in a slip-and-fall case. Would this be a wise decision to spend part of my limited budget on or is this just the talk of over-paranoid family members?

I definitely think that this would be a good idea for you! I'm a firm believer that it's better to be safe than sorry. Plus, you might be able to talk with your insurance provider and try to get them to cut you a discount if you take such precautionary steps. I'm not sure if that's standard for the industry, but it's worth a shot!
I know of a good company that sells one, this is the link:

Best of luck!
