How do I bid on corporate owned businesses?

Hi everyone,

I'm wondering what the process is for bidding on commercial clients that have their cleaning services handled by their corporate office. I've tried calling several corporate owned businesses and I'm almost always told that I can try getting a hold of someone at corporate because they're the ones in charge of contracting a cleaning service. I've emailed several corporate offices, but I've never received a response this way. Am I doing something wrong? Are the receptionists lying to me because they can't be bothered getting me in touch with the person in charge? Would calling be a better option?

Any tips or ideas are appreciated

MJS.. Excellent ?. I am going thru that very process now. My local school bus office is changing current cleaning person or cleaning company. I am working with the manager.supervisor of the "services division" for the school bus provider corporation.
The 1st contact came from the corporate services division in Kentucky.
The walk thru was done by the office manager at the "local office" So if Company ABC was unhappy with the current cleaning company, the office manager for that location would be the person to talk to or contact.
Smaller companies, the receptionist also handles the cleaning services.
There are lots of books on getting past the"Gate Keeper" aka The Receptionist.
When I did commission sales I had considered/looked into having a pizza guy I knew, deliver pizzas with my brochure in each pizza box to some large corporate office lunch rooms. But never did it. Brad BD Janitorial
