Managing extra work load

Hello,
I was wondering how you you manage extra work load in terms of house cleaning appointments. When your employees have full schedule how do you handle new work? They work on their own or in couples. I can't really hire someone for just a few hour a week until there's decent amount of work. So far I need to do the new appointments on my own but I'd like to focus on office work. Any suggestions?

Usually if it is a one time job I reschedule my most easy going clients.
For permanent jobs I try to build a part time shift by taking away a job or two from my full time employees( there is always someone whom thinks they have too much).

Thank you for your input! it makes sense to just take some jobs from other, but not really easey when you're just starting out in a new area.

Anyone else?
