Exclamation Please help with getting Insurance!

Hello,

I am in Ohio, and need a few referrals on sole proprietorship independent contractor liability insurance and bonding please. I am getting into more and more larger construction site cleanings and office buidlings, and the supervisors and managers are asking for coverage just in case - I have to buy it soon because I have a huge bid I won coming up, but have to display proof of insurance.

Thanks!!!

Hey,
I am not in Ohio but I am pretty bsure you guys have State Farm. I use them because on one of my first accounts the funeral home requested that I show proof of insurance. You are going to want to get a million dollar policy because that will keep you completely safe in case of an incident. I pay about $700 per year. Shop around and see if you can get something cheaper though.

AHHHHHHH....... I was afraid of that response

I emailed State Farm about 6 weeks ago, and they emailed me back and said they could not help me, that my situation was too specific. It was one of the weirdest things I ever encountered, I have other policies through them.

I simply said... I am an independent contractor in need of liability insurance. What is so odd about that????

Anyone else have any other suggestions, or even websites I can go to in order to shop around? PLEEEASE???

Thanks

PS: I do need a million+ policy, it is a mandate of the contract for most companies I have worked with so far

Looks like Wells Fargo and Nationwide were the way to go, basic $1 million dollar coverage was about $500 for the year
