My father owns a small commercial cleaning company in New Jersey and he and my mother used to do the labor of cleaning themselves. However, they have hired help because quite frankly they have come to the point where physically it has become too much. My father has 2 people, a mother and son, clean one building that it takes my father to do in 1 1/2 hours to do himself do that same building now. My mother handoes the financial aspect of the business and she pays these people $60 to clean that one building. My father argues that it is too much and I agree. The way I see it only one person should be cleaning that job and definitely not for $60. I don't know what employees get paid an hour in NJ buy I'm guessing it shouldn't be more than $15. However I do take into account the size of the building and what needs to be done.If it takes half an hour to clean a building then the hourly rate should be lower but for a much larger building that would take 1-2 hrs for 1-2 people than the hourly rate should be higher. Any advice?
