Busy Season

Iím sure the pressure washers out there have a summer rush but how about the rest of you guys. Are some months busier than others? I would think that contract cleaning would be the same all year around but maybe Iím wrong.
Maybe cleaning homes around the holidays could create a rush?

Our Cleaning Business gets busy in Spring. Spring Cleaning. Holidays can cause a rush sometimes. The best thing about Christmas is all the tips and Bonuses my wife gets from regular clients.

Do you run a residential cleaning business as well as a power washing business?

Yes, It just isn't advertised and marketed as much as the Power Washing. We've stayed small with it. Got 2 girls working part-time and Wife working it full time. Mostly a referral based business.

Thought about growing it. It's insured and Bonded and all that crap so it would be nice to take on a few more commercial nightly accounts.

April 1st - July 1st: Crazy busy, booked two crews two-three weeks out
July, August: More normal paced. Five day work week, two crews booked 7-10 days out
September 1-20: Another rush, business switches to housewashes (I still haven't figured out why
September 21st til end of season (usually Halloween): More sporadic, I can usually book a week at a time. At this point I start to switch over to winter work which includes light remodeling and painting.

I'm pretty much busy year round cleaning and sealing decks, fences, cedar houses etc as long as the weather holds up.We have many repeat customers or contracts to stain the complete neighborhood fences.

These dates follow my ups and down for traffic on ContractorTalk.com almost exactly. I'm sure this site will be the same.

We're usually busier in the spring and fall months with lots of surface cleaning jobs. But here in Minnesota, we've had a lot of snow this winter, which has kept our snow removal guys very busy too.

Busy season

I live in Western PA. The busiest season for my house cleaning service is spring and summer.
