I use baking soda to:
1. clean drains by pouring 1/4 cup of baking soda down the drain every 2-3 weeks
2. clean my bathroom by making a paste (3 to 1 -baking soda to hot water)
3. clean fresh carpet stains by blotting the stain first than treating it with baking soda paste (same recipe as above)

PLUS using it for my laundry sometimes and getting rid of smells around the house

Agree.. Baking soda is an inexpensive and natural product that has so many uses around the house in addition to baking. From deodorizing your refrigerator to smothering grease fires, that yellow box of baking soda does a little bit of everything. Cool

Does it matter if its fresh juice from a lime, or the juice out of a bottle?

The tips for cleaning with baking soda are very useful.I have been using it for the past few years and can safely say that it is one of the best remedies for cleaning of various household items. It is a non abrasive cleaner which helps not only to clean glass but also the stains from tiles and other kind of floors too.Using a little baking soda with liquid soap is also an ideal cleaner to remove grease stains from any kind of surface and leave it shining bright and clean.

Thanks for all the tips. Really effective and helpfully. Although, baking soda is amazingly good for your health and home, too! Indeed it is a great tool for cleaning and removing stains. These are very fine methods to clean carpet but unprofessional work may damage our expensive carpets, so carpet cleaning should be done by a good cleaning company only as they don't charge more and the services are good.

The above mention tips are very helpful for cleaning purpose. But for odor control, I recommended some tips: One of the most important home odor control tips keeps the air moving in your house because the smells can be carried out of the open windows and replaced with clean air.And you can use odor control products like air fresheners, deodorizer, deodorant for instant and effective results.
