Growth and security-the opportunity to maintain and expand capabilities, to use those capabilities in future work assignments, and to advance in organizational or career terms
Social integration-the opportunity to achieve personal identity and self-esteem
Constitutionalism-the degree to which a worker has rights and can protect those rights
The total life space-the extent to which a person's work has a balanced role in his or her life, not demanding so much time, effort, or other inputs as to severely disrupt leisure and family time
Social relevance-the degree to which the worker views what the organization does as socially responsible and, therefore, sees his or her work as being of social value.
