Soap scum is easily gotten off with a wet Magic Eraser and rinse very well.

The myth with shower doors is that after people clean them, the soap scum is still there. I don't know about cleaning them with all the harsh chemicals and what ever else people use but once cleaned with a wet Magic Eraser the soap scum is GONE. What people THINK is soap scum is actually from hard water that has ruined the glass. But... that can also be fixed in 1 of 2 ways. You can either get a sand blaster and fix the problem or you can use acid and fix the problem. The way these 2 things fix the problem is this. You must understand that what you see are indentations in the glass. So what has to happen to fix this is to make the glass flat or 'even' across the surface.

I have used my final rinse cleaner for carpet cleaning and it works great! It is n the acidic side of the PH scale so that may be what you need t use to cut right through the build up.

Wet the area first, idealy with a very mild bleach - do not use too much as if the bleach gets on white grout it will turn it yellow. Then use a spounge scourer with jiff to clean the shower screen.

A sincere thanks to you!

This answer is going to save me a lot of money and work! I am actually not seeing soap scum at all but "indentations" in the glass!

The reason I finally know this is that I have used not only all means of highly recommended cleaners: but even all grades of steal wool (0000) (00) and even (0)...and nothing "removes" what I thought was soap scum.

Again....thank you!

Dan

The best thing I've tried is liquid bar keepers friend with a sponge. It doesn't scratch.
