Gutters Cleaning

Hi

Is there any money in the gutter cleaning? Some of my customers are asking for it but they expect it done for nearly nothing. Few local companies are providing this kind of service but i usually 1 man company doing nixers. I did not see any major window cleaning companies providing this service.

How do you even charge?

Thank you

Get the window cleaner to do it!

In years gone by most window cleaning was done by ladder and customers used to ask the window cleaner to check the rhones/gutters to see if they needed cleaning. I know from past experience, if we charged £4 for cleaning a houses windows then £20 for cleaning the gutters seemed a good deal as it took roughly the same time to do either job. These days most window cleaning is done by reach and wash as you know and so customers now have to rely on gutter cleaning companies such as mine to have the rhones/gutters cleaned out.
I price the jobs on time, if i think it will take me an hour then i charge £50-£70 some think that's expensive and other customers think it's cheap but don't undervalue yourself because if the customer wasn't scared of heights i can guarantee you they would be up cleaning the gutters themselves.
