OK, Give it to me straight

I have a question, I've been reading the posts before I joined and no one seems to have the formula on how to bid on a commercial or residential account or on a one time clean or an initial clean. Nathan could you please send me a general example in what to charge in each of these areas within the national average to my email please?

Also does anyone know where I can download free blank bidding proposal packets, cleaning contracts and bid estimation worksheets?

[email protected]
Thanks a bunch
Eric

Sad

yea I know, but even though I'm not asking for much no one seems to be willing to help out the new guy on the block. I just started and put up a website, I'm waiting on my business cards to come back so I can solicit my services but I just need a little more direction

There is a saying that holds very true. God helps those that help themselves. Makes some coffee, get on Google and start doing research. The info is out there. You wouldn't want it handed to you anyway. You won't appreciate it as much and you'll actually slow your business learning curve. As a heads up I can tell you this.. not many will help you on pricing not becuase we have an aversion to it, we just don't know how much you need to make to stay in business.

Hi Ken,
Before I found this forum I was searching everywhere online and they want you to pay for everything. I've always believed in paying my dues but I'm on a shoe string budget, out of work, with a family to support and I can't afford to pay for the forms I need right now. The money I did have I used to purchase the bare essentials to get started.
I just need the basic formulas they use to do the calculations and I can do the rest. Just need a little help that's all. I would like to clear at least 25 to 30% a month though.
Thanks for replying,
Eric

Eric,

Let's start with some basics. In the past, others have asked for bid help and received suggestions based on specific questions.

Tell us what you KNOW about the facility you are bidding on. We can go from there.

We don't do janatorial. But Ihave a question for you. Why should those who do janatorial help the competition? Generally the way most boards work is you post some info, then you ask questions. Listen to Mr Ken Fenner, he has lots of experience and gave good advice.

You are first on the list. So how much is airfare from London? We can calculate that in the bid.

Ima done now. I don't want to go to in a handbasket. LOL

Thanks for the privilege TailoredMade. It depends where I have to fly to, and I charge double the price for overseas jobs.
