Pricing a job

Morning All,

I am new to he service industry I started my office cleaning in March of 2017 and i struggle with pricing. Several times I've bid a job and was told they are going to pass because my price was to high I feel i gave a fair price that is comparable to the market in Illinois.

I'm bidding a job now and was looking to see how you guys would price it.

The square foot is a guess i use the number or employees (25) and multiplied that by 250 square feet which gave me 6250 and the office will be cleaned once a week. Routine cleaning mopping/sweeping, wipe down desk, empty trash clean tabled in lunchroom and conference room and clean the restrooms.

front lobby 1 table 2 chairs 2 medium size windows
conference room 1 table 10 chairs
1 kitchen/lunch room with 5-6 tables 3-4 chairs per table fridge/microwave
3 private offices and the main office area has 7 desk
3 restrooms all have 4 toilets and 4 sinks

I gave the price of $520 per month which i feel is reasonable with the amount of cleaning to be done.

Let me know what you guys think i look forward to hearing back.

it's a warehouse but only the office part will be clean and that's about 5000-6000 square feet.

Oh, okay. I am not an expert on this sort of cleaning, but I would guess your bid is on the low side. That is a lot of SF, but of course, I dont know exactly what you will be doing, or how long it will take you to finish it. What is your guess on these things?
