Storing equipment

Hello all,

My question is regarding the supplies and equipment storage at your locations? My plan is to have my employees drive to the work site with their own vehicles. In this case you can imagine it being difficult when transporting carpet cleaners or auto-scrubbers. Do most sites have janitorial closets that they offer us? Any advice on how I can be efficient knowing that I will have employees going to the sites with their personal vehicles?

I use to drop off the large scrubbers when they needed them, and pick them up later.

For large ongoing jobs, I had a closet where I could store the auto-scrubber.I also needed a closet where I could keep it plugged in because of the batteries.

You can deal with all of these issues on a case by case basis. No two job sites will be the same.

Large job sites that I worked that we would be on for several months we had storage closets for the ladders, cords and vacs. Some things

we had to carry back and forth because they seemed to come up missing.Hmmm...

Again each situation is different.

Each of my employees had their own bucket of cleaning chemicals and hand tools. These were left in the vans at night or their own vehicles.

Special chemicals were only taken when something specific came up.
