Sue?

I want to start a cleaning business for residential move-out's and construction clean-up. For now, I will be the only one working.

Someone told me I did NOT have to have Liability Insurance because if I got injured, I can't sue my own insurance company. She said Liability Insurance pays if someone gets injured on my property.

What kind of license's do I need for a cleaning business in the state of FL?

liability insurance covers you and your employees for any damages that you could possibly do to a customers property.

I think that you are thinking of workman's comp insurance, as that is for personal injury. Unfortunately the information you received is incorrect in terms of construction cleaning since the General contractor will require you to have a policy in order to protect themselves. If you were to get injured while on the job and you were not covered you could sue their insurer for your disability and they just are not going to allow that to happen
