taken advantage of what happened to an honest days pay for honest day of work

i cleaned a foreclosure home that was beyond bad. 13 hours of hard core cleaning. i was told normally the job pays about $75 for a light clean but adjusts accordinly. when he handed me $100 for the job i did i wanted to scream but instead i cried and id like to know how much realators are paying for these jobs

I always get paid at the start of a job. I guess my first question would be... why did HE set the rate of pay? YOU are your boss... right?? YOU tell HIM what the price will be. But then again... that's why I don't mess with low life realtors. I am sorry if anyone from here is a realtor. Not all of them are lower than a snake but 99.9% of them are. Just use it as a lesson learned and don't mess with them again.

Why don't you clean residential? Steady work... you set your own pay... paid before the job starts... you set how and when you clean... rarely a back breaking job once you do the 1st clean. Just an over-all better environment and if you work alone you will not pull all your hair out like you are feeling the need to do now. My rule of thumb in cleaning residential.... if you are a realtor we will not clean your house. And, if you are a certain race, we will not clean your house. Actually, if we know you are that race, we won't even give you a bid. No, I'm not prejudice because my best friend since 1989 is that particular race.

Omg that's horrible. In situations when the price is set upfront by a realtor (or another type of costumer) we say "for this price you will get this many hours of labor" if they want to more they have to pay more.

cswenson225, I'm sorry you had this bad experience. Did you say anything to him about the $100.00 payment and if so, what was his response?
