What is the best way to get blood out.

I need to get blood out a cotton dress and I am pretty sure this product is not real.

Blood stains are awful! Try using detergent and baking soda. It works.

I would like to add one point to this tip. I always prefer to clean the blood stained portion with antiseptic lotions. It is to avoid the possible chances of bacteria on the blood stain.

Hi there! I know this is an old thread but I thought I'd post this so that other people with a similar issue can see it. Blood stains can be tricky, but not impossible. You can try the care guide provided on the site Cool Runners, who you can find if you look up carpetandhallwayrunners.co.uk

With blood, make sure to use cold water. Mix said water with a detergent and then apply to the area using a cloth. Repeat the blotting motion until the stain has gone. I hope this helps!

If you're using home remedies... use peroxide. It is best to follow up with a carpet cleaning extractor.

Hydrogen peroxide...I was training in the Navy as a hospital corpsman and I was learning how to draw blood for the lab. My first patient had on his dress whites...ya know, all white except for that black neckerchief (sp) that sailors wear. Needless to say...I got blood all over that poor man, but my supervisor knew what to do. She got this supersized bottle of H2O2 and she just dumped it right on the shirt and rinsed. It came out brilliantly white and no bleach.

The carpet and Rug institutes recommends a solution of hydorgen peroxide, no higher then 3%... let saturate and flush with cold water. blot with dry towel. you can also fold towel up many times and place books on top. this will draw the water that was flushed out of the carpet.

There's a carpet stain remover called "red out". I wonder if that would work.
