Really a tough one as it gets into the wall itself. Pros choice makes the best odor removal products IMO. You can try that but probably will require re painting or removing and replacing the affected dry wall.

Hi Bill,

Thanks for your response! Yeah I was affraid someone would suggest replacing the dry wall but it is also on some wooden doors that have only been oiled. I will have a look and see if I can get that cleaning product in Australia.

Cheers,

Well, the best way to remove cat urine, stains and odors is to take help of professional carpet cleaners. Believe me, professionals are best in such situations to get your carpet cleaned and again make them look as new.

Hi Green carpet care,

Thanks and I have already had professional carpet cleaners in for the carpet but they didn't have any suggestions for the wall or oiled wooden doors.

Louise, how effects? This is good product? I need something like this but I'm not sure it's good enough.

Quickly clean up any urine that's still wet.Neutralize the urine odor. For new or set-in stains, mix together a vinegar-cleaning solution consisting of one-part white vinegar to one-part water (check this solution out on an inconspicuous area of the carpet first)

Thanks

I think oxy-bleach might help and it doesn't bleach out the color.Perhaps sprinkling dry bicarb and then vacuuming after a couple of hours might do the trick. Don't they put that into cat litter to neutralize the smell.

Cat urine odor is pretty hard to get rid of. I remember my friend's cat pissed all over the carpet and he had to completely replace the carpet.

I think this method can work to get rid of cat urine: Mix 3 parts water with one part vinegar and saturate the spot. Once dry, sprinkle the area with baking soda.
