Cold Calling Commercial

I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on how I can get a list of commercial businesses in my area to conduct some cold calls for sales.

Some mailing list companies like Sales Genie, InfoUsa etc have offers such as first 100 names are free. Most have an online list creator where you fillin or checkmark such as number of employees under 10____ 10-30_____ etc. Then you go thru the list of options like SIC Codes, ** Mailing Address** Company President, Marketing Director etc, phone number or numbers will be listed. Yearly Revenue maybe a category.
If you decide to **mail out** a postcard or letter make sure to get the **mailing address** which is different from the street address as many companies use a PO BOX for mail.
Good Prospecting.

Do people really get new business this way??? I am really curious. It just seems so - well, crass. Rude. Maybe I am old fashioned. Flyers are a royal PIA in my book, and when I get them, they get tossed out right away. Calls? Hand up on 'em. In my mind, a reputable business doesnt do business this way.

I got 2 new customers from 1 postcard mail out. 1 of those customers I still serve today. With any marketing cold calling or mailouts it's consistency that counts. I hired 2 different ladies to cold call call for me, out of almost 800 cold calls I got 1 resi window job & 1 small commercial cleaning contract.
Both ladies said they didn't want to cold call anymore but did say almost all of the people/businesses they called the people were friendly and polite.

A sales seminar speaker said " the sale/appointment" is alot easier when THEY (potential customer) call you." I find this to be true a least in my experience

The real estate recording records in each town have lists that you can sometimes purchase.Let's say you want to know who bought a house in the month of February or who paid more than 100k for a house in the last month or a few months.
You can usually ask for the parameters that you think would target your best customer and the recording dept will sort them by the parameters that you set.Our town does this. You will have to ask. When you get the info you can mail off postcards or letters to each potential on the list. How to Start your cleaning business the Right Way.

You can search them on google with your preferred location. For example, cleaning company in anaheim, california. Just be specific on your targeted location.

We started a postcard campaign for a little while and then we stopped. Are you still doing postcards? If so are you having success with getting commercial accounts?

How long have you had your website, do you focus on seo?

How do your new customers find out about your website?

SNC. Focus on Local Seo... see the links below. Hope this helps. I've had to rebuild my website after web dev deleted the entire site, so starting over, but going with Local SEO strategies. Brad BD janitorial
