facebook advertising

Anyone use facebook pay per click? I like how you can target certain age groups demographics and such. And I assume the more you pay the more likely your ad will be shown? I also like being able to set a daily budget. But does it work???

Never had much luck with it.
People use Facebook to catch up with friends, not to buy.

I agree, I think it's overall a waste of money for our business.

PS - I think also Facebook has "jumped the shark" compared to a few years ago.

Facebook Advertising

Most people with accounts don't even go to the site anymore, and if they do it's just to play games or "chat".

Personally, I don't think it's worth it. I've had some friends who found some success, but should have gotten a lot more out of it for what they paid.

It's not worth it. While you may reach targeted customers by location, these people aren't looking to buy anything. They're just looking to creep on other people's profiles and post pictures. With Google, you have people actually searching for something they want to spend their money on.

Off topic - but I think since Facebook has gone public, users have declined.

gm pulled out from facebook because most people use facebook on their phones now, and there is no advertisements on the mobile facebook. Why waste all that money if no ones going to see it.

Facebook advertising stinks

I used facebook ads for a while. Every time my campaign ended they always wanted me to spend more money to restart my campaign. The sad part was that I could never see any result from my campaigns. I dropped facebook and I am dropping yellow pages this year.

I joined BNI and I think that has been my best advertising move.

I agree, I'm started up a facebook business page, but would never pay to use Facebook for advertising. I'll be using it as an easy way to keep in touch with customers.

Organic hits are the best. I'm not sure facebook advertising hits the right people yet.
