Google SEO Yelp Bing etc...

Anyone using Google SEO services to get your business noticed? If so, how has that turned out for you? Did you see your listing higher up in the search engine results? How about on Google Maps/Google Business? Just trying to decide if I want to use the resources their offering. I received a promotional offer from google but I'm not sure its what I should do. We just relocated and I am just now beginning to market my business locally and in the surrounding areas. I want to get my business name out there but aside from having it listed on search engines and going door to door I really don't know how else to do this. Cold calling seems to go nowhere. Thanks so much

Make sure that your keywords on your website are inline with what people are searching for then do it yourself. It sucks but just dedicate 1-2 hours each week to blogging or forums (like this one). These are great back links for your site. I was quoted 750 a month for ongoing seo before. The company thought they were the best and dropped one of their clients names on me and when I looked them up they were 3rd from the top.

A service I have really found helpful is Yext. I can't post links but it can be found at yext.com. This gets your company listed on many websites, over 60, and ensures all the information is the same and not conflicting. This helps both your website and your Google My Business. You can use the free scan tool on the website to see how your website and backlinks are looking.

Make sure you have also optimized your Google My Business. Update all the areas with Google My Business, you can even populate the Questions/Answers section using keyword rich questions and answers. This is an important thing to do as Google My Business shows up before any websites and gets great exposure.

There are tons of articles out there. Carve out a little time and read through some and try to put some of the tactics to use.

Good luck!

Yext is a great service. Especially if someone tried using lead service(s) in the past and they attached a phone number to your business name which is not used anymore. As a one-time set up for your business listings or to correct them...

This is called your "NAP Listing" in SEO for 'Name, Address, Phone Number' and Google likes to see it matching across directories for your business... also to have that same Name/Address/Phone on social media accounts and at the top or bottom of your website in unison helps your ranking.
