How should I go about getting my first customers

I really just started putting all my stuff together to start this roof cleaning and now I am in desperate need of getting new customers. I started a little website and have had some views but I have yet to get a call from anybody. What can I do to get some customers without looking like I am desperate. Im not in a financial bind at all but I would really like to see my investment put out for me. Should I go door to door should I call places I don't know what to do. Any help would be appreciated thank you. And please do not write any rude posts I don't need that.

I would start out doing letterbox drops which you would outsource. Follow it up with a door to door campaign. Offer incentives when doing door to door, such as a percentage off (at least 25%) when they confirm on the day or free driveway cleaning or house washing.

I would start going to different businesses and seeing if you can drop off your business cards, hang up flyers, and as much as people are on facebook, you should create your own page on there.

New Customers

Honestly, I started up my business by putting up flyers everywhere I found bulletin boards and have had great success with that. I am now working on a website through web.com. I also talked to everyone I ran into and casually mentioned I had started my own business and they took the cue and ran with it. Patience is hard but worth it.

I just picked up my first by letting friends know that I started a business. I plan to pass out doorhangers to both residential and commercial places.

You can talk about writing press releases, taking out ads, sending out mailers and you should create own page on facebook or twitter because there are many peoples on facebook or twitter.

I would start with delivering fliers with a compelling story about what you do and a new client discount (I like dollar amounts rather than percentages). Keep this up daily until you start getting work then let people know in the neighborhood about your success with a just cleaned flier and testimonial.

I would start by creating a website first. Look up some videos on best practices for optimizing your website for search engines and get on social media sites as soon as possible. Facebook, Twitter, Google + and Pinterest are among my favorites.

PM if I can help with anything else.

You absolutely right Green Home Carpet, search engine optimization and social media are huge factors when marketing your website and business. By getting higher search rankings, you are going to see an increase in leads and more customers. Social media is a great way to network your business and spread your name around, also it goes hand in hand with search engine optimization. Having such social media networks such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, allow for back linking and search engines will pick up on that, raising your rankings.

An amazing thing about A Cleaner Business website solutions, is that we have built search engine optimization capabilities directly into your site, allowing you to change your own meta tags, alt and title tags, and content for keyword density; all the things that search engines look for when crawling your site. We also allow the opportunity to embed Facebook and Twitter feeds on your homepage, as well as YouTube videos and links to other social media networks. A Cleaner Business has the features to help you market your website, increase customers, and grow your business.

I believe the best way to deal with that is to start off with printed marketing materials. As what's written in blog.printplace.com, print media is the best marketing platform for targeting the local market. You can also use promotional items. They are good attention catchers.

Website is a must. Our business is getting 10-20 hits per day and we are booking about 4 jobs a day now from the seo work. We work on certain keywords like carpet cleaning in las vegas or carpet cleaners henderson. We are ranking #1 now on google for certain keywords. We wouldnt have this business though if it wasn't for the website.
