Price per square foot
Hoping to get some input from experts here. When quoting a price per square foot, should you use a monthly cost, or annual? I have seen it done several ways, so which one is the right one? Basically, I am writing a proposal for a client that needs to be in a given price per square foot. When I use a monthly cost, the number is outside of the range she wants, but when I do an annual cost per square foot, it is spot on. However, this is a C-level exec and is going to question the numbers.
On another note, what is the average cost per square foot to run a full program in a medical setting for cleaning, weekly burnishing, quarterly carpet extraction, floor finishing, etc? The cost a competitor is quoting is like .10/square foot, and when I run the numbers I am way off that. I have also heard somewhere in the .90/range, maybe this is for an annual $/sq ft??
